Overview of Luxian NO.2 High School

Luxian No.2 High School, a full-time public high school, was originally founded in 1941. Guo Moruo(a famous writer as well as the former vice chairman of the National People's Congress), General Wei Chuantong, aerospace giant Zhu Guangya, and sculpture master Ye Yushan, and so on,have contributed inscriptions or sculptures to the school successively. It successfully joined the list of key middle schools in 1996, national model high school in 2003, and first-level model high school of Sichuan Province in 2013.In May 2023, it became one of the first leading-type grade 1 exemplary general high schools in Sichuan Province. In November 2023, under the auspices of the county government, it developed into a physical group form, covering 13 legal entities, divided into leading-type, alliance-type, and cooperative-type, and formed a unified construction pattern of kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school.

Located in the center of the county, the school has a convenient transportation, adjacent to #321 national highway and Xiamen-Chengdu expressway and close to the airport, the high-speed train station and the port; the school enjoys a fantastic natural environment with Yuchan mountain, a provincial scenic spot, facing the school gate and two clear streams surrounding it. The typical sculptures "Wu" and "Ben" enlighten viewers with its rich humanism and visitors are impressed by the beauty of culture walls with inscriptions "Hanmo Zhuozhuo" and "Yayun Liufang"on. The campus has a beautiful and broad view, decorated with quiet roads, green shade-lotus ponds and weeping willows, sheltered by buildings and halls, which combine the glory of modern buildings with the elegance of traditional Chinese painting.

The school adheres to the principles of "three beings and two fors”(being noble, able, and remarkable, for creation and exploration)---“develop noble and able human for remarkable creations", and the motto of "three establishments and two pursuits"(to establish morality, achievement and thoughts; to pursue truth and beauty), for which, leaders are good at resource management and public relationship, and skilled at seeking truth and expanding business; teachers are qualified for outstanding morality and knowledgeable inspiration, and respected for sincere instruction and fruitful cultivation; students are encouraged to motivate and depend on themselves, and blessed with diligence and creativity. The school has been equipped with superior facilities and high-standard staff. Among the full-time faculty, there are 12 Doctors, special-grade and senior teachers; 85% of them are of middle and senior certificates; nearly 1/3 of them have graduate degrees; more than 1/2 of them have been awarded with honorable titles at or above the county level. The school covers an area of 236 mu, with first-class hardware facilities. The library, labs of physics, chemistry and biology, multimedia and other functional classrooms are all well-equipped following the standards of the national demonstrative high school.
